Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join our team at Lingaro. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale cloud-based data ecosystems.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, model, and document business/technical requirements. You will have direct contact with clients and be responsible for modeling data from various sources and technologies.

You will also troubleshoot and support complex problems, deliver new features and functionalities, design and optimize data storage architectures, and implement techniques to optimize data storage and retrieval.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer, including at least 3 years of experience working with GCP cloud-based infrastructure & systems.
  • Strong knowledge in cloud computing platforms - Google Cloud - and ability to design, build, and deploy data pipelines in the cloud.
  • Programming skills (SQL, Python, other scripting) and proficient in data modeling techniques and database optimization.
  • Knowledge of query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning is necessary for efficient data retrieval and processing.
  • Proficient in database management systems such as SQL (Big Query is a must), NoSQL, and able to design, configure, and manage databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Experience with orchestration and scheduling tools like Airflow, data integration tools and techniques (ETL and ELT), and modern data transformation tools (such as DBT, Dataform).
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
