Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with our corporate IT and Health Safety department, as well as all managers in the CEB region, to ensure the implementation of our digital and health safety strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Digital:
  • Collaborate with the Corporate IT Department and Managers in the CEB Region to define, develop, implement, maintain, and support all ICT systems in the region.
  • Develop and implement the ICT strategy for the CEB region in close cooperation with SAUR's Corporate IT Department and directors and managers.
  • Manage ICT tasks, including organizing and allocating responsibilities to business partners.
  • Prepare ICT policy statements, procedures, and reports, including data security and data backups.
  • Conduct regular checks and audits of systems, networks, and data security.
  • Monitor and report on the IT budget, optimizing IT resources and finding synergies between units.
Health and Safety:
  • Work closely with the SAUR Group's corporate health and safety department, as well as with managers in the Central Europe Balkans (CEB) region.
  • Foster a company culture focused on ensuring the safety of employees.
  • Maintain companies in compliance with health and safety legal requirements.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of facilities and audits of working conditions and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and rules.
  • Provide employees with initial and periodic health and safety training in a timely manner.
  • Issue personal protective equipment, etc.
  • Draft and modify all instructions, orders, regulations, reports, relating to health and safety at work and fire safety, ensuring compliance with the law, and completing and maintaining documentation.
  • Implement corporate health and safety requirements, procedures, and processes.
  • Report weekly, monthly, annually, to the CEB business unit and to head office, and report any incidents or events.
  • Analyze and anticipate fire and emergency situations that may occur on company premises.
  • Promote the area of occupational health and safety and ergonomics among management and operational and clerical staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar position, in a company in the water/wastewater/manufacturing/logistics industry.
  • University degree, majoring in health and safety.
  • Very good knowledge of current labour, health and safety, and fire safety legislation.
  • Knowledge of spoken and written English at least at B2 level - prerequisite.
  • Initiative in implementing improvements that raise the standard of health, safety, and ergonomics at work.
  • Responsibility, self-reliance, result-orientation, good work organization.
  • Calm and clear thinking when working under pressure.
  • Ability to persuade teams by providing advice and guidance.
  • Openness and ability to deal with rapid changes in business needs, processes, and technology.
  • Ability to work in an international environment.
  • Ability to work with staff at different levels of the organization.
  • National and international travel is required in this role.
  • Knowledge of the French language.
