Fleet Manager EMEA Job Description
Your responsibilities
- Supply Chain Management
- Develop and implement a rigorous process for managing the supply base, including periodic reviews, monitoring, and managing supplier performance, quality, cost, delivery, technology, service, and leadership.
- Manage supplier relationships, perform root cause analysis, and develop and monitor supplier improvement plans.
- Spend Management Strategies
- Implement spend management strategies, including supplier assessments and rationalization, negotiation for best total cost of ownership, cycle time improvements, security of supply, supplier diversity, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Monitor fleet costs and ensure they remain within budget.
- Internal Stakeholder Management
- Conduct regular reviews with company internal stakeholders to understand the structure of the business and the supplier needs to fulfill the company's services objectives.
- Fleet Policy and Procedures
- Implement Global Vehicle Policy and Standard Operation procedures, from vehicle assignment to replacement cycling, from personal use to accident reporting.
- Total Cost of Ownership
- Manage Total Cost of Ownership, including price, spec, purchase or lease vehicles, fuel management, and vehicle insurance.
- Contract Negotiation and Management
- Lead negotiation and completion of contracts with strategic and preferred suppliers to maximize benefits across the company, including pricing discussions, drafting Statements of Work, and implementing Service Level Agreements.
- Category Strategy Execution
- Partner with category lead, procurement operations, and Vehicle Management Office to execute category strategy/plan to maximum value.
- Industry Knowledge and Performance Metrics
- Stay current on automotive industry news, changes, legislation, and technologies.
- Monitor and drive improvements in supplier performance metrics, manage supplier relationships, and help resolve issues regarding service quality, delivery performance, and cost.
Requirements
- Business English (written and spoken), +German/French/Spanish language as an advantage.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing international fleet or experience with fleet management company (1000+ vehicles) in EMEA.
- Min. Bachelor's Degree – Finance and Management.
- Strong financial acumen, understanding of Total Cost of Ownership, market rates, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of European legislation with focus on automotive industry (Green Deal, Taxes, Health and Safety, and Data protection).
- Strong computer proficiency, skill in data analysis, and results interpretation.
- Strong organization and project management skills to keep multiple high-priority projects moving to completion.
- Experience working in a global environment, conducting business across multiple requirements, time zones, and culture.
