Job Description

This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our dynamic team as a Claims Specialist at DSV Road GmbH.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized individual with a strong background in insurance, logistics, or customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for timely and comprehensive settlement of damages incurred in road, sea, and air transportation.

The ideal candidate will have very good knowledge of Italian and good English language skills, with the ability to conduct correspondence in both languages. Experience in insurance, logistics, or customer service is welcome, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Settlement of transportation damage claims in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Gathering documentation to establish liability for incidents.
  3. Conducting correspondence with clients and internal stakeholders in Italian and/or English.
  4. Analyzing collected documentation and preparing decisions to pay or refuse compensation.
  5. Conducting recourse proceedings against entities responsible for damage occurrences.
  6. Maintaining ongoing contact with clients and DSV units.

Our Requirements:

  • Very good knowledge of Italian and good English language skills.
  • Experience in insurance, logistics, or customer service (welcome).
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Able to work under time pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
