General Ledger Reporting Team Lead

As a key member of Oerlikon's finance team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of financial professionals in the General Ledger and Reporting streams. Your role will be based in Warsaw, Poland, and you will be working closely with the Shared Service Center to ensure seamless service delivery to Oerlikon's legal entities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Ensure high-quality operations and compliance with KPIs and SLAs.
  • Work closely with direct reports to establish goals and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Be responsible for task distribution among team members, prioritizing tasks based on their complexity and urgency.
  • Drive the Oerlikon Success Model and conduct performance reviews to prepare development plans for team members.
  • Participate in the recruitment process, leading interview meetings as needed.
  • Be responsible for new staff onboarding, including access to required IT systems and training.
  • Organize and run regular team meetings and 1:1 meetings.
  • Be the first point of contact for Local Finance and SSC team members in the supervised area.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal/external regulations.
  • Drive process improvements and act as a backup for the Team Manager as needed.

Your Profile

  • A proven track record in leadership roles in an operations setting.
  • University degree in Finance and Accounting or Business Administration (preferable).
  • Knowledge of SAP (preferable).
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, with Excel being a requirement.
  • Fluency in English.
