Project Buyer Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Buyer to join our team at ENGIE Poland. As a Project Buyer, you will be responsible for steering all procurement activities throughout the stages of the project, ensuring that procurement is technically and financially able to meet the overall aims of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate the project's business targets into a procurement strategy to ensure procurement is technically and financially able to meet the overall aims of the project.
  • Steer all procurement activities throughout the stages of the project, including helping project teams to express their needs and ensuring risk assessments are conducted.
  • Implement the procurement strategy or tactics established for the project, including negotiating with suppliers and deciding on contractual terms.
  • Lead the selection and qualification process of suppliers to ensure the quality of services provided and minimize short- and medium-term procurement risk.
  • Organise calls for tender and select/qualify providers and suppliers who meet the project requirements and procurement strategy.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree, ideally in Engineering or Economics.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a senior buyer/project buyer in energy and utilities.
  • Demonstrable experience in project management.
  • Result-driven, with strong analytical skills and ability to meet scheduled and demanding timelines.
  • Fluent in Polish and English.
