249 Discovery Polska Sp. z o.o. is seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to join our team in Warsaw, Poland.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Ad sales revenue domain within COE for EMEA, which offers a great opportunity to participate in the overall finance transformation roadmap setting standards for the FP&A processes related to Ad sales revenue management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prepare high-quality data, update models, and conduct analysis to support forecasting and month-end close process in the Ad sales revenue domain.
  • Manage financial modeling based on market trends and key KPIs and provide expertise and insights to commercial teams.
  • Update Ad sales models regularly, track and verify data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Provide variance analysis to explain actual and forecasted performance of managed channels versus prior year/plan/prior forecast.
  • Support forecasts/annual budgets development by reviewing historical data and working with business stakeholders to provide recommendations on revenue drivers.
  • Prepare advertising sales analysis to understand performance (customer, agency, industry, KPI trends analysis).
  • Develop and update standard SMT and local commercial team reporting to highlight important trends, events, or unexpected variances.
  • Manage ad hoc strategic and BAU Ad sales-related financial requests, including preparing business plans, financial models, and scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with Billing/Revenue Accounting/Collections teams to support month-end closing processes, review accruals, and provide feedback.
  • Assist business partners with Ad sales-related projects.
  • Support automation and simplification projects to improve efficiency in working in FP&A Ad sales area.
  • Exchange knowledge and share best practices with different teams and members of the Ad Sales Team (Digital and Linear).

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Finance function in FP&A department.
  • Diversified experience in financial reporting, forecasting, planning, modeling, and strong analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of media industry dynamics and key metrics impacting revenue would be an asset.
  • Very good English language skills.
  • Great communication skills and relationship building abilities.
  • Ability to establish professional, trust-based relationships with various finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Capacity to meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure while showing excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial software packages and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in using EPM solutions such as SAP BPC, Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive.
