Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Occupancy Planner to join our team as a key player in shaping the future of real estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic occupancy planning expertise to drive business growth and optimize space utilization for our clients.

Foster Relationships

The ideal candidate will establish strong relationships with various stakeholders, including:

  • Corporate Real Estate teams to collaborate on planning forecast requirements, concerns, and issues.
  • Business Unit leadership to collect headcount forecasts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Corporate Finance groups to gather top-down headcount and growth projections.
  • Project management teams to review planning strategies that drive construction projects.
  • Move coordination and facility management teams to review and approve moves.
  • Other members of the occupancy planning team to ensure the development of portfolio strategy plans.
Drive Optimal Occupancy Planning Solutions

This role involves managing the development of occupancy plans, sequencing group-level and individual moves, and resolving planning issues identified during client planning sessions. The successful candidate will ensure alignment with corporate guidelines and maximize space utilization.

Reporting

A key requirement of this role is to familiarize yourself with space utilization methods and present utilization data effectively. You will interact with organizational leadership to identify space requirements and prepare project status reports on actual versus projected seat demand at the building level.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  1. Proactive: Ask insightful questions to understand our clients' needs.
  2. Tech-savvy: Comfortable using software to support planning solutions, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  3. A communication champion: Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential.
  4. Dynamic: Think strategically, simplify complex concepts, and drive results.
  5. Ability to lead through influence.
  6. Expert-level data analytical skills and ability to articulate stories through data.
  7. Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly numbers and spatial creativity.
  8. Highly organized and demonstrates high performance in project budgeting and scheduling.
  9. A working knowledge of occupancy utilization and office design principles is preferred.
  10. A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
