We are seeking an experienced CloudOps Engineer to join our team at Sopra Steria Digital Platform Services in Belgium.

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to work on a project for a leading financial client, utilizing your expertise in cloud operations, monitoring tools, and toolchains.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the team to optimize cloud operations and ensure system performance.
  • Using monitoring tools like Dynatrace to identify areas for improvement.
  • Managing toolchains with GitLab and Azure DevOps.
  • Implementing and maintaining security measures, including HashiCorp Vault.
  • Working with containerization technologies.
  • Responding to incidents, supporting users, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and configurations.
  • Establishing and promoting best practices for cloud operations.
  • Scripting and automating tasks using various programming languages.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience working in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a conceptual understanding of how they work.
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting tool: Bash, Powershell, or Python.
  • IAC tooling: Terraform, Ansible.
  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Gitlab, ArgoCD, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Nexus.
  • Monitoring: Understanding of fullStack monitoring or knowledge on Dynatrace.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to work and communicate in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Openness to occasional business trips abroad.

  • A salary range of €60,000 - €90,000 per year, depending on experience.

The recruitment process consists of three stages:

  • A short phone call with a recruiter (30 min).
  • 1 hour long interview on Teams (with both general and technical questions).
