Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Payment Operations Manager to join our team at Elanco. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payment proposals, reconciliations, and expense reimbursements in accordance with internal control standards, policies, and procedures.

About the Role

The Senior Payment Operations Manager will work closely with the Treasury department to ensure availability of funds and obtain necessary approvals for payments. You will also coordinate with various departments and maintain records for account payables.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process payment proposals based on the payment calendar and ensure payment is released within specified timelines.
  2. Reconcile initial payment proposal, rectify disputes, and take necessary approvals prior to the final run.
  3. Conduct payment proposal reconciliation, fund analysis, and availability.
  4. Process expense reimbursements in accordance with internal control standards, policies, and procedures.
  5. Coordinate with the Treasury department to ensure availability of funds.
  6. Obtain necessary approvals for payments as per company policy and procedures.
  7. Coordinate with various departments and maintain records for account payables.
  8. Validate Accounting information during system upgrade and interface maintenance.
  9. Coordinate with General Accounting on US Escheatment requirements for bank checks.
  10. Adhere to process governance, including regular reporting and analysis of key metrics.
  11. Follow internal procedures and timelines to keep the service on agreed level of Key Performance Indicators.
  12. Support General Accounting's month-end/year-end closing procedures, including general ledger reconciliations and accruals, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance, and financial audits.
  13. Support and implement process change improvements and system upgrades/updates.
  14. Execute the governance process to evaluate and implement localization/customization.
  15. Support internal and external auditors during audits and other data inquiries.

Requirements

  1. University degree required (Bachelor's or equivalent).
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in P2P or Finance function in SSC/BPO environment.
  3. Ability to work in a global team environment and communicate effectively with both internal business partners of all levels & disciplines as well as external team members.
  4. Ability to resolve people, process, and technology problems proactively & effectively.
  5. Ability to effectively prioritize and complete key tasks and deliverables.
  6. Able to respond flexibly to customer needs, effectively managing expectations.
  7. Proven control orientation based on prior operational business roles.
  8. Proficient in MS Office tools, ServiceNow, SAP, and Ariba Procurement.
  9. Proficient in English is mandatory; multi-lingual is a plus.

Estimated Salary Range:$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
