Senior GL Accountant with French Language Expertise

For our client, an international FMCG company, we are seeking a Senior GL Accountant with French language skills to join our team in Warsaw.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general ledger processes and activities, including month-end closing, general ledger postings, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements and statistical reports for local requirements.
  • Manage intercompany activities and ensure close activities are complete and books are closed per the established close calendar.
  • Support internal and external audits and prepare data for tax audits.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects and reports, and research management questions and resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position.
  • Master's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Strong accounting and finance analysis skills.
  • Very good knowledge of English and French (minimum B2 level).
  • Experience in general accounting or reporting area.
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Preferred: ongoing ACCA, CMA, or related qualification.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
