Compliance and Risk Management Professional for Financial Institutions

About the Job

We are currently seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for one or more countries. As an MLRO, you will play a critical role in ensuring our compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility as the MLRO for one or more countries.
  • Perform KYC due diligence and ensure compliance with AML and CTF requirements.
  • Follow up with customers and dealers to ensure receipt of required KYC documentation.
  • Accurately document and update records in required systems.
  • Identify and report 'red-flags' related to AML & CTF.
  • Review and assess sanctions screening results.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of existing procedures and create new ones when required.
  • Support the digital transformation and automation of customer onboarding processes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in KYC, AML & CTF compliance or within audit functions in the financial sector would be advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong operational skills - translate complex processes into easy-to-follow instructions.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English and German or Spanish is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business/Law/Compliance/Economics or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment.
