Job Opportunity

HSBC Service Delivery is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the US Region's IT Architecture team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise architecture blueprints, ensuring alignment with HSBC Technology strategies, and providing design authority accountability for major change and initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture blueprints and roadmaps for the US Region
  • Collaborate with global and regional architects to develop country and regional roadmaps and plans for successive transformation
  • Consult on new best practices, processes, operating models, techniques, products, services, technologies, and standards
  • Manage and govern HSBC US Business service offerings using Agile method
  • Stay abreast of technology trends and advise business/CIO/CTOs/Chief Architect on potential benefits/impacts
  • Support the Innovation and technology (AI/ML, Cloud, API, etc.) Community of Practices adoption and lead the architecture community in the United States by example
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external technology standards and regulatory obligations

Requirements:

  • University graduate of Computer Science/IT-related field (preferred but not necessary)
  • Seasoned experience in building architecture blueprints and roadmaps on various detail levels
  • Experience in digital and broader architectural transformations, applying solutions from experience in decomposing monolithic solutions and methods to manage technical debt
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of enterprise-level software development and API-based integration, building scaled solutions with consideration of quality attributes
  • Capability to influence and champion new ideas and technical direction within the organization
  • Accustomed to managing a high level of ambiguity across geographies, markets, products, and services and delivering clear decisions and direction
  • Good stakeholder management level, with the capability of delivering highly effective cross-functional leadership across diverse populations, regions, and domains, building effective stakeholder relationships; As well as the ability to translate strategies, plans, methods, and tools and operational plans globally
  • Excellent Leadership and Teamwork skills - the ability to educate, inspire, motivate, and mentor teams, creating a sense of community amongst the disparate members of the technical areas, persuading and negotiating skills
