VP IT/Data Management Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP IT/Data Management to join our Centralized Functions Team within the Global Credit Finance Division. In this role, you will work closely with business leaders to achieve organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive IT, information system, and data architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic IT architecture that aligns with business objectives and supports data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of advanced data, system, and reporting capabilities to drive business insights and growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to understand data and analytics needs and recommend BI or data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Design and implement scalable, automated, and user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards to support key business decisions.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to define data elements and data structures that enable analytical capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Data Management framework and risk management structure to ensure data quality and security.
  • Standardize data and report production/consumption across all GCF groups and design, implement, and support platforms that provide business teams with ad-hoc access to large datasets.
  • Contribute to strategic plans and reviews, prepare and complete action plans, and implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Build commitment to information strategy by considering and evaluating different points of view and creating a cohesive argument.
  • Achieve human resource objectives by managing a team, recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and managing performance of staff.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in data management/computer science, accounting, finance, economics, or business with 15+ years of relevant experience working at a financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services organization.
  • Knowledge of industries, including credit lending, custody, fund administration, and investment management.
  • Experience in a strategy-focused data role across the front, middle, or back office where you will have driven change and transformation that had a real impact on the business.
  • Extensive experience in communicating with senior management.
