Job Summary:

Zurich Insurance Company is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team in Krakow, Poland. As a key member of our Shared Service Centre, you will be responsible for performing specific Financial Accounting and Reporting activities to support and reinforce key business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and perform general ledger bookings and account reconciliation, including deferred income tax, accruals, provisions, and pre-payments.
  • Provide Group and external reporting, including Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Supplementary information to financial statements, in accordance with IFRS and other GAAP.
  • Perform Intercompany reconciliation and postings.
  • Support various closing activities, including maintaining interfaces to Sub-ledger, revaluation, regrouping, and cost allocation cycles.
  • Collaborate in projects such as the analysis and implementation of Group Chart of Accounts changes.
  • Maintain contact with various stakeholders, including FAR Controllers, Actuaries, Local Accountants, and other teams.
  • Execute controls within the SOX framework.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of relevant general accounting experience.
  • Practical accounting knowledge in end-to-end GL/financial audit or financial reporting.
  • Finance and Accounting, Economy, or equivalent academic degree.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and financial systems, with SAP as a preferred skill.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
