Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Red Hat Enterprise Linux administrator to join our team at ITDS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RHEL administration, scripting languages such as Bash, and automation tools like Ansible.

About the Role:

This position is responsible for maintaining large-scale systems, automating workflows, and enhancing security processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement observability solutions and troubleshoot complex issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
  • Implement and maintain automation using Ansible for infrastructure management
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins to enhance deployment processes
  • Manage and troubleshoot IP networking, including routing, subnetting, firewalls, and proxies
  • Perform vulnerability management and ensure compliance with security best practices
  • Handle ITIL-compliant change management processes to maintain system stability
  • Troubleshoot complex OS and networking configurations to ensure system reliability
  • Enhance observability by implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions
  • Support operational management, including root cause analysis for major incidents
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Cybersecurity and IT teams to improve security posture

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash for automation
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins to streamline software deployment
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including firewalls, proxies, and subnetting
  • Experience in vulnerability management and security compliance processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system and networking issues effectively
  • Familiarity with ITIL-compliant change management processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to cybersecurity challenges
  • Effective communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows Server administration
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or AliCloud
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Helm
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with security tools like HashiCorp Vault for secrets management
  • Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Application Dynamics, and xMatters
  • Hands-on experience with databases like MSSQL and PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and ServiceNow
  • Exposure to service mesh technologies such as Istio
  • Experience working in large-scale IT environments with enterprise security solutions
  • Experience with similar but not identical tools: ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Oracle
