Job Description

As a Platform Specialist SAP Basis at Inter IKEA Group, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of SAP S/4HANA extensions and enhancements. This role requires collaboration with internal teams and external experts to develop a simple and robust SAP architecture that adheres to standards while maintaining high automation and specialization levels.

The successful candidate will work as a technical advisor for internal customers and product teams, ensuring the smooth operation of the SAP ecosystem, including SAP RISE, S/4 HANA, SAP BTP, and SAP SaaS Applications. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing SAP Basis functions such as certificate management, software installation, setup, upgrades, patches, performance monitoring, tuning, capacity management, and security of the SAP ecosystem.
  • Developing a 24x7 response to system problems and driving trouble shooting, root-cause analysis, issue resolution, and escalations.
  • Partnering with service providers and IT functions to prioritize and protect investments in SAP RISE and Microsoft Azure services.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and identifying trends for system performance and resource utilization with a cost-conscious mindset.
  • Ensuring Disaster Recovery and application and platform resiliency options.
  • Collaborating closely with product teams and Software Engineers to solve complex problems.

This role reports to the Platform Manager at IKEA Supply and works closely with the program management for Order and Finance Program, as well as the management teams leading the Data & Technology Management functions.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in the SAP Basis area and managing complex IT environments.
  • First-hand experience with managing the SAP Technology Program on Microsoft Azure, leveraging SAP's RISE offer, is ideal.
  • Experience with SAP HANA, S4/HANA, SAP Solution Manager, and SAP cloud solutions - SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, Cloud Integration, Cloud ALM, SAP Cloud Connectors, etc.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies, especially based on Microsoft Azure and networks.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail, ability to relate to the bigger context, and build effective work rapport with distributed team members.
  • Passion for creating value through robust and effective SAP solution architecture and developing relationships and networks.
  • Curiosity and ability to build relationships based on trust between the Supply Data & Technology community and its stakeholders.
  • High motivation and effectiveness in communicating complex technology challenges in an understandable fashion to stakeholders.
