Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

At Verisk, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for utilizing your analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets.

About the Role:

Data Scientists at Verisk utilize their expertise to develop data-driven solutions to complex business challenges. They work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and evaluate data-driven solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex NLP and ML methods using medical and insurance data to drive business insights.
  • Test and optimize current solutions, physical models, and queries to improve data quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions to address them.
  • Work with the Scrum product development team to build out our company's data science capabilities and take on bigger responsibilities in the future.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-4 years of professional experience in data science, with a focus on NLP and ML.
  • Experience in automatic data extraction from documents and fine-tuning of LLMs and embedding models.
  • Identification, conceptualization, implementation, and evaluation of Generative AI solutions based on AWS Bedrock for intelligent business processes.
  • Experience in the implementation of RAG solutions.
