We are Tooploox, a leading AI software development company with a strong focus on delivering custom AI solutions and services.

We help innovative companies and startups design and build digital products with generative AI, mobile, and web technologies.

Our team consists of nearly 200 experts, including our R&D team of over 40 engineers, many with PhDs. We have pioneered AI solutions across industries like healthcare, fashion, and e-commerce, publishing over 15 research papers in top conferences such as NeurIPS and ICML.

We're seeking a seasoned Java expert to lead the development of robust Java applications, focusing on modern frameworks. If you're passionate about merging traditional software development with innovative AI technologies, this role is ideal for you.

Your journey with us would involve:

  • Designing, Developing, and Maintaining: Writing high-quality Java code that is both efficient and scalable, utilizing modern frameworks like Spring Boot and GraphQL.
  • Integrating AI Models: Collaborating closely with the AI team to integrate and utilize models such as GPT (turbo 3.5 to 4), LLaMA, and SDXL, including tasks like image inference and prompt engineering.
  • Project Management: Leading multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project goals.
  • Mentorship and Collaboration: Partnering with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new features, while providing mentorship to less experienced developers.
  • Architectural Input: Contributing to architectural reviews, proposing improvements, and validating new solutions to align with business objectives.
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and bugs, ensuring seamless operation of services.
  • API Development: Working with OpenAPI to develop contract-based services and tests for reliable and well-integrated APIs.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are an asset.
  • Java Expertise: Proficient in Java, particularly with Spring Boot and GraphQL, with at least 8 years of experience in software development.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing multiple projects concurrently, with a track record of delivering complex AI-based solutions.
  • Software Design Skills: Strong knowledge of software design patterns and principles, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Ai and Machine Learning Expertise: Proficient in utilizing AI technologies, including LLMs and machine learning models (e.g., KNN), as well as defining and optimizing complex prompts.
  • Tech Skills: Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka or Spark, and expertise in writing unit and integration tests with JUnit.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Polish- and English-speaking teams.

Additionally, having experience with CI/CD processes and cloud configuration can be beneficial. You will also have the opportunity to engage in informal discussions during evening hours if needed.

We offer a flexible environment where you can contribute to multiple innovative projects, driving the AI platform forward. Your estimated annual salary will be around $120,000 - $180,000 depending on your location.
