About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Officer to join our Risk and Control team in Danske Bank. As a Senior Officer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our bank by presenting comprehensive risk profiles, steering decision-making, and influencing top-level management practices.

Main Responsibilities
  • Define and develop key risk and performance metrics for the controls owned by the team;
  • Analyse and provide judgments towards improvement of the controls;
  • Report risks and performance to senior stakeholders;
  • Act as a liaison with the internal and external audit and other evaluation functions;
  • Manage Sanctions and Screening change agenda, promoting it through adequate risk forums and committees;
  • Document and maintain repository of Sanctions and Screening end-to-end controls and processes, including the relevant risk sign-offs;
  • Develop processes and tools related to identification and reporting of screening gaps;
  • Secure and manage change strategy of the Sanctions and Screening Controls;
Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess deep knowledge of end-to-end Sanctions and Screening programmes and operating frameworks, with the ability to identify risks requiring escalation. You should also have great communication skills, being clear and concise while presenting both verbally and in writing. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate independence in handling your workload and setting priorities on a continuous basis.

We are looking for a candidate with +5 years of relevant experience in financial services or regulatory agency, proven experience and understanding of Sanctions or Screening programmes, higher education, strong decision-making skills, and advanced interpersonal skills. Proficiency in English, both in speaking and writing, is also essential.

This position can be located in either Poland or Lithuania, and we offer a salary range of 3360 to 5040 EU for a Senior Officer position. Depending on your experience and skillset, we can offer you different seniority. We are recruiting on a rolling basis and will conclude the process once we find the right candidate.
