Job Description:The Procurement Sourcing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting Fresenius Medical Care's One Procurement strategy by developing and executing procurement strategies with 3rd party suppliers. This position is responsible for coordinating with category management and technical procurement project management to understand patient and internal needs.
- Develops and executes procurement strategies to achieve best total cost of ownership, sustainable productivity, and high levels of quality and service.
- Coordinates with category management and/or technical procurement project management to understand patient and internal needs.
- Conducts RFx exercises, selects suppliers, supports or leads negotiation of favorable contracts, ensures supplier performance, risk assessment, and supplier relationships.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the creation and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned categories.
- Managing cross-functional supplier selection activities and formal strategic sourcing processes.
- Performing proposal analysis, including price analyses, 'Should Cost' modeling, benchmarking, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Evaluating financial stability of suppliers and managing supplier risks as needed.
- Championing the use of eSourcing, Spend Visibility, and R2P tools within categories.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field.
- 1-2 years of direct industry or company experience will be an asset.
- Good understanding of sourcing methodologies.
- Experience with hands-on analysis and data interpretation; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites preferred.
