Business Data Analyst, Finance and Treasury Data Repositories – Senior Specialist

The Data Operations and Strategy Team (DOST) at State Street is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support the Risk, Finance, and Treasury Data Repositories, delivering business and technology solutions for our Finance and Risk business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain data quality for Risk, Finance, and Treasury Data Repositories
  • Develop and manage data quality frameworks using MS Lists and BI Tools - TIBCO Spotfire and Power BI
  • Support business partners in their operational processes and ensure timely and accurate data delivery
  • Provide subject matter expertise in financial balance sheet products and applications
  • Resolve upstream and downstream issues for data consumers, acting as a bridge between business and IT
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, such as SOPs and data mapping
  • Participate in comprehensive, end-to-end data testing and continue to improve team productivity through analysis and re-engineering business processes
  • Status reporting on assigned tasks and active participation in monthly GL reconciliation processes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a financial institution in a data-centric project environment
  • Understanding of finance, risk, and regulatory business functions is preferred
  • Experience with BI Tools - TIBCO Spotfire or Power BI in creating dashboards and data profiling is an advantage
  • SQL strongly preferred, and Python is an additional advantage
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills on Windows, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio
  • Knowledge of LEAN techniques and ability to take ownership and initiative, be accountable and proactive, and work independently
  • Proficiency in English is a must
