Fortum's Finance Development is looking for a highly skilled Closing and Consolidation Subject Matter Expert, Record-to-Report Development. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of the closing and consolidation process.

Your primary focus will be on driving a seamless end-to-end process design and implementation in closing and consolidation processes within the Record to Report. This includes implementing best practices and ensuring that closing and consolidation processes are streamlined, efficient, and meet business requirements.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be expected to provide expert guidance to the finance team and other business units on reporting standards, methodologies, and best practices. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining financial reporting processes
  • Ensuring data quality, operational transparency, and continuous improvement in our processes
  • Managing communication and collaboration amongst cross-functional stakeholders such as IT and Finance teams

We offer you an exciting role, challenging tasks, and an opportunity to develop our global end-to-end process. In this role, you will work closely with different Fortum finance teams across the company. You will be part of the Finance Development team and contribute to the Record-to-Report area roadmap, annual plans, and KPIs.

About you

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • Suitable degree or equivalent competencies in accounting or technology, and preferably 5 years of working experience in a relevant field (e.g., consulting, accounting, or process development)
  • Proven track record with closing and consolidation reporting preferably in a large-scale, global organization
  • Capabilities to work independently and in a matrix organization
