About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Management Director to lead our Engineering team at Splunk Inc. As a key member of our leadership team, you will drive and implement mission control deliverables for the security roadmap.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical partners by crafting compelling narratives that bridge the gap between technology and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to craft technical strategy and roadmap, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business goals.
  • Guide the team on making the right technical decisions on design, long-term scalability, and maintenance of the product, leveraging your expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Drive the roadmap execution, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Define project scopes, timelines, and ensure alignment with business objectives, utilizing your strong analytical skills to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Inspire and empower the team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring seamless handoffs and effective communication among team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and guide career development for team members, helping them grow professionally and personally.
  • Mentor the development team, ensuring the implementation of best practices, design principles, and coding standards, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineering Manager or equivalent role.
  • Proven track record of building, mentoring, and developing effective teams, with a strong focus on leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ability to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Able to inspire and motivate team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
