As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll be part of a team that develops cutting-edge solutions for Google Cloud's software engineers, driving the next generation of technologies that transform how billions of users interact with information and each other.

We're looking for talented engineers who can design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions. Your expertise in AI frameworks, algorithms, and tools will be crucial in driving the technical vision and roadmap for Kubernetes evolution to meet the needs of the world's most demanding GenAI models training.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, facilitating alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
  • Design and develop software solutions that meet the needs of our customers, driving the technical vision and roadmap for Kubernetes evolution.
  • Inspire and mentor a talented team of engineers, fostering a culture of growth, knowledge sharing, and respect for individual strengths.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in software development and data structures/algorithms.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, with 5 years of experience testing and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch, JAX), algorithms, and tools (e.g., Kubeflow, Ray.io, MLflow).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • MLOps experience with large-scale distributed environments.
