Procurement Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Team Leader to join our team in Poland. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of procurement professionals, developing and implementing procurement strategies, and ensuring the effective management of our procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
  • Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies for both direct and indirect procurement categories, aligning with overall business objectives and ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality supply, conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance.
  • Procurement Process Optimization: Design and implement efficient procurement processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency, ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and leverage procurement technologies and tools to streamline processes and improve data visibility.
  • Category Management: Manage direct procurement categories, including raw materials, components, and production supplies, oversee indirect procurement categories, such as office supplies, IT equipment, and services, and develop and execute category management plans to optimize sourcing and achieve cost savings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including production, finance, and IT, to align procurement activities with business needs, facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and the procurement team to address procurement-related issues and requirements, and support cross-functional projects and initiatives, providing procurement expertise and insights.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain procurement reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against goals, analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and present reports and insights to senior management, providing recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, category management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, preferably SAP S/4 HANA).
  • Implementation of SAP S/4 HANA will be a key merit.
  • Experience in process of transition will be a significant plus.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions.
