You'll have the opportunity to drive artistic vision, lead a multidisciplinary team, and collaborate closely with development and other departments to ensure seamless integration of art assets into the game engine.

**Job Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in the XR or gaming industry, with significant time in leadership or art management roles.
  • Expertise across various art disciplines, including 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation.
  • Solid understanding of color theory and composition.
  • Strong knowledge of real-time graphics constraints, particularly on VR platforms and across multiple devices.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Autodesk Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Photoshop.
  • Deep experience with 3D pipelines, workflows, and optimizing art assets for performance and quality.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of guiding art teams and collaborating effectively with cross-functional departments.
  • In-depth understanding of the technical aspects of art integration in Unity engine.
  • Residence within a timezone close to CET.

**Nice to Have:**

  • Expertise in motion design and 3D animation.
  • Understanding of rendering pipelines, specifically Unity's render pipelines.
  • Familiarity with other game engines like Unreal Engine or proprietary engines.

**Responsibilities:**

As an Art Lead, you'll be responsible for:

  • Establishing and communicating a clear artistic vision for XR projects, ensuring consistency and maintaining high-quality standards across all assets.
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting a multidisciplinary art team, including 2D/3D artists, animators, and designers.
  • Collaborating closely with development and other departments to ensure seamless integration of art assets into the game engine.
  • Supervising the production of concept art, 3D models, animations, textures, and UI elements.
  • Developing and optimizing art pipelines, tools, and workflows to increase production efficiency and meet project deadlines.
  • Providing regular feedback and guidance to the art team to elevate the quality of their work and ensure alignment with the project's visual direction.
  • Participating in sprint planning, resource allocation, and key meetings to ensure art requirements are properly considered and delivered on time.
  • Staying current with industry trends in art, design, and immersive technologies (VR/AR, 3D modeling, real-time rendering, etc.), incorporating relevant innovations into projects.
