We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MS-SQL Administrator with expertise in advanced database administration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as an SQL Server Administrator and deep knowledge of MS-SQL DBA.

Job Description

The role is critical for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security of our mission-critical databases. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advanced Database Administration: Create new Microsoft SQL Server instances, configure and maintain database servers and processes, and download and install SQL Server service packs and updates.
  • SQL Server Administrator: Configure and maintain SQL Security controls, monitor maintenance tasks, troubleshoot failed processes, and perform backup and recovery.
  • High Availability and Scalability: Configure and manage high-availability solutions such as AlwaysOn availability groups and failover clustering.
  • Security Management: Develop comprehensive security policies for database access, encryption, and auditing, and perform security patches and upgrades.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for complex database issues.
  • CAPACITY PLANNING AND GROWTH ANALYSIS: Analyze current and future database capacity requirements and plan for scalability to accommodate growth and evolving business needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed documentation of database architectures, configurations, and processes, and provide regular reports on database performance and status.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with application developers, infrastructure teams, and other IT stakeholders to support and enhance database-driven applications and services.
  • Automation: Strong end-to-end Automation Skills, Excellent knowledge of Python scripting, Terraform, etc.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience & Technical Skills:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of strong experience as a SQL Server Administrator.
  • 5+ years of Proven track record in backup, recovery, and applying security Patches.
  • 4+ years of Proficiency in Managing and configuring High Availability and DR configurations.
  • Must have 5+ years of Proficiency in Python scripting and end to end Automation,
  • 2+ years of Strong familiarity with Azure Arc and other monitoring and management tools like Service Now.
  • 5+ Years of Strong familiarity with experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) with working knowledge on Terraform.
  • Good to have Oracle DBA knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results under pressure.

  • Estimated Salary: 120,000 - 180,000 PLN per annum, depending on experience.
