Job Description
  • We are seeking a Senior Private Equity Fund Accountant to assist in the production of monthly and quarterly NAV, ensuring completion of specified tasks per Private Equity checklists.
  • The successful candidate will calculate and process capital calls, capital distributions, and statements for closed-end funds, as well as prepare investor P&L allocations and fee calculations as part of monthly and quarterly NAV packages.
  • Key responsibilities include preparing waterfall calculations, portfolio and investor IRR calculations, cash, position, and market value reconciliations, and escalating accounting issues and aged items to the Private Equity Supervisor.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure all positions are priced correctly, calculate and process income and expense accruals, including trading accruals, and comply with HedgeServ's checklists, procedures, and controls.
  • Assistance in the audit process may be required, and the successful candidate will converse and liaise with internal service departments to resolve miscellaneous fund issues.
  • The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, IT literacy, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' previous experience in Finance, ideally from Hedge or Private Equity Fund Industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and work effectively within a team structure and independently.
  • Reliable, dependable, and committed, with good initiative and the ability to escalate when necessary.
