Innovation Leader

We are seeking a talented Workday Extend Technology and Innovation Lead to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for leading innovation efforts in Workday Extend technology and product development.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your expertise in Workday Extend technology to drive innovation and improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new technologies and features.
  • Pursue ongoing Workday Extend technology advancements, sharing knowledge and recognizing incoming tool improvements to optimize application efficiency.
  • Conduct research on emerging trends and technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure successful collaboration and mutual benefit.
  • Provide thought leadership and vision for Workday Extend technology and innovation efforts.
  • Manage project scope, quality, and timeline for area(s) of expertise, providing guidance, instruction, direction, and coaching to team members.
  • Conduct research on problems, identify root causes, and present corrective measures to clients.
  • Serve as a mentor and coach for less experienced team members.
  • Develop an intermediate understanding of touchpoints, dependencies, and integration aspects across different Workday areas.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1.5-2 years of experience in building and deploying Workday Extend apps implementations, supporting Workday Apps Post Production / AMS Services, or as a client of Workday.
  • The ability to develop Workday Extend code using Extend plugins (e.g., IntelliJ IDEA) or Developers site App Builder.
  • Familiarity with Q&A in built applications, including prototyping of user scenarios, code testing in available environments, and immediate testing in App Preview.
  • Proficient knowledge of pmd scripting, advanced pmd scripting techniques, and skills in building Orchestrations.
  • Strong skills in designing and building model component elements (Application Business Objects, Application Business Processes, Application Security Domains, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Workday Security area (including data security policy and business process security policy).
  • Any knowledge of Workday Extend GraphAPI is welcome.
  • The ability to use git (e.g., Microsoft Azure) is an additional advantage.
  • Ability to lead medium to large projects for the full project lifecycle in area(s) of expertise – from initial scoping/planning, discovery, design, testing, and go live.
  • Ability to effectively engage on multiple, parallel projects of all sizes in both supporting and leadership roles.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work to ensure overall timeliness and quality standards with no supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues in a remote working environment.
  • Willingness and ability to mentor and/or manage other consultants.
