Job Title: Senior Java Developer

We are seeking an experienced Java developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, with a focus on cloud engineering and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a Java-based DB migration tool to facilitate data migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL (AlloyDB on GCP).
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering and DevOps teams to ensure smooth migration and system performance.
  • Implement and manage Kubernetes and Helm for containerized application orchestration.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Ensure optimal performance, bug fixes, and continuous improvement of the DB migration tool.
  • Write and execute end-to-end test automation to ensure smooth migration and system performance.
  • Utilize scripting languages (Bash or Python) to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Optimize database connection pools and ensure concurrency in database systems.
Requirements:
  • Strong Java expertise with hands-on experience in Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Solid SQL skills with a deep understanding of RDBMS technologies like PostgreSQL, AlloyDB, and Oracle.
  • Experience with database connection pools and concurrency principles.
  • Basic knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Familiarity with Bash or Python scripting (nice to have).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (a plus).
