About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at EPAM. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative digital solutions that solve complex business problems.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will work closely with our team of innovators and problem-solvers to build solutions for our financial services customers. We are looking for creative collaborators who can evolve, adapt to change, and thrive in a fast-paced global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop large-scale web applications using Java and related technologies.
  • Develop, test, and support features for globally deployed web applications.
  • Follow best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in team-wide design and code reviews.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technical trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in Java with proficiency in object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate.
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks (Angular or React).
  • Familiarity with distributed storage systems like Oracle, DB2, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, especially using Git.
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with a track record of working and collaborating with global teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple ongoing assignments and work independently as part of a highly collaborative and globally dispersed team.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down and communicate complex issues, ideas, and solutions.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
