Senior Cinematic Designer Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a talented Senior Cinematic Designer to collaborate with our team in Warsaw and contribute to the development of Polaris, the first game in the new Witcher series saga.

Responsibilities

  • Design engaging interactive scenes and cutscenes using advanced animation libraries and motion capture technology.
  • Work with industry-leading storytellers to create emotionally gripping or action-packed scenes.
  • Collaborate with designers, other departments, and leads to improve visual storytelling and ensure continuity with gameplay.
  • Set up actor staging and cameras.
  • Meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work.
  • Follow and maintain pipelines and technical requirements.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of storytelling principles and how to use visual elements to create coherent and memorable scenes.
  • Excellent knowledge of cinematography, editing, and acting, including posing and timing.
  • Experience directing and/or acting.
  • Experience working with screenplays.
  • Minimum 5 years of AAA games development experience, including long-form projects from inception to completion.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with game engines, including Unreal, Unity, Godot, and REDkit.
  • Technical problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Genuine interest in the game genre.
  • Experience with MotionBuilder and Maya.
  • Experience working with animation.
