We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Associate to join our Tax Research Team at Thomson Reuters. As a Tax Associate, you will play a key role in maintaining our industry-leading tax and accountancy software, ONESOURCE.
Key Responsibilities- Research and analyze tax laws and regulations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor tax statutes, regulations, and legislative activity to stay informed of changes in laws and regulations.
- Correspond with global and local tax authorities to resolve queries and provide guidance.
- Research and respond to client inquiries on tax-related matters.
- Provide recommendations on complex tax and legal issues to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Communicate complicated tax and legal issues in an understandable manner to non-tax and legal professionals.
- Test all tax content changes made in the database for quality assurance.
- Provide guidance to other departments regarding tax processes and procedures.
- A degree in Law, Finance, or Tax.
- A detail-oriented approach with a keen eye for accuracy and compliance.
- A strong interest in tax, particularly VAT, and a desire to grow your career in a tax research setting.
- Ability to utilize online research tools and work to specific deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write technical tax documents.
- Comfortable using the Microsoft Office Package and open to learning new technologies.
- The ability to confidently communicate in English.
