Senior SAP Business Intelligence Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team at Zooplus SE. As a key member of our Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing SAP Business Warehouse (BW) dataflows and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of SAP BW dataflows and integrations, including building data services, composite providers, and calculation views.
  • Manage the SAP BW, SAP HANA, and SAP BusinessObjects applications, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Activate, configure, and enhance generic and business content extractors across various functional areas.
  • Oversee performance optimization through query monitoring tools, indexing, partitioning, and statistical analysis.
  • Develop ABAP and AMDP programs, including user exits, function modules, and routines to support dataflows and business processes.
  • Coordinate with other BI engineers and development teams to enhance queries and build dashboards.
  • Implement and manage SAP notes to ensure system stability and security.
  • Serve as the technical lead on BI development projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
  • Support junior BI engineers with knowledge and experience, creating a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Evaluate and prototype new SAP BI technologies to drive continuous innovation.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in BI and reporting or a similar field.
  • Extensive experience in SAP BW, SAP BO, and SAP HANA.
  • Proficiency in ABAP programming and SQL.
  • Experience with DataServices, Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and BI-IP is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data flow design, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team collaborative environment.
