This Automation Engineer position at Lyreco Switzerland AG requires a strong background in software development and testing methodologies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve user stories
  • Collaborate with the development team to establish a testing approach
  • Prepare test plans and test scenarios
  • Design, build, and maintain automated tests
  • Reduce the backlog of manual regression tests
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing in areas where automation is lacking
  • Participate in Agile processes (Scrum or Kanban)

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience in business acceptance testing, API testing, functional testing, non-regression testing
  • Good understanding of CI/CD concepts (preferably with Jenkins)
  • Experience in Agile environment and scrum team
  • Ability to work as QA automation engineer in cross-functional scrum team
  • Good knowledge on SQL and NoSQL databases (preferably Oracle and MongoDB)
  • Understanding in messaging-oriented middleware (Apache Kafka)
  • Good knowledge of at least 1 OOP language (preferably Java 8+) in context of writing test cases and extending test frameworks
  • Experience in Cucumber, jUnit
