Job Title: Senior Financial Operations Specialist

Kuehne&Nagel's Knowledge Center for General Ledger and Reporting is responsible for all European countries. As a Senior Financial Operations Specialist, you will be part of this team and provide financial services to all European countries. Your main task will be to ensure a reliable and punctual financial Record-To-Report (R-to-R) Process, in accordance with Group standards and local legal requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

* Ensure a reliable and punctual financial Record-To-Report (R-to-R) Process, in accordance with Group standards and local legal requirements.
* Give constructive input on the R-to-R Process and make suggestions for continuous improvement.
* Control all accounting transactions of the company. Post the journal entries, accruals and reconcile the General Ledger.
* Execute a reliable and punctual financial administration including proper filing in, which includes all accounting responsibilities: General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Provisions, VAT/Taxes, Periodical Closing.
* Post the incoming invoices and closely cooperate with other departments to solve any issues regarding price and quantity differences in the Purchase Orders or Approval Process. Provide improvement ideas in the P2P process.
* Solve any irregularities and deviations independently, investigate and intervene when necessary, and take appropriate and punctual actions, seeking the assistance of higher management when needed.
* Prepare the proper documentation required by the ICS procedures.
* Keep Standard Operating Procedures updated for assigned companies and proactively help in on-boarding of new employees.
* Identify process gaps and implement potential improvements.
* Willingly share own knowledge/experience with other employees in order to keep the deadlines and the highest Quality.
* Take the mentor role for the junior Accountants and guide them after on-boarding process.
* Closely cooperate with the external auditors and provide required data to them without any delays.

Your Skills and Experiences:

* University/Bachelor's degree in the field of finance (may be in the course of study).
* Experience working in an international environment in a similar position welcomed.
* Experience in migration of accounting processes (including preparation of documentation) and knowledge of migration of accounting processes welcome.
* Willingness to develop in the area of international finance (IFRS accounting and reporting).
* Good knowledge of English and Polish.
* Practical knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).
