About the Role

Cd Projekt is looking for a talented English Adaptation Specialist to adapt Polish content into English in-game content.

This role requires strong attention to detail, ability to focus, and passion for working with the written word.

The ideal candidate will have native-level English proficiency, experience in Polish to English translation or English writing/copyediting/editorial experience, and a university degree in Slavic Languages and Literature or Area Studies.

The job involves adapting source Polish text into fully idiomatic, appropriately stylized, publishable English all types of in-game text, including dialogue, in-game on-screen text, external-to-game on-screen assets and related.

The daily responsibilities of this position include:

  • Translating source Polish text into English.
  • Editing and polishing all types of text to elevate the quality of our final product.
  • Adding content to established stylization, terminology and pronunciation databases and guides.
  • Reviewing English game content once complete, prior to release, for consistency, correctness, completeness and quality.
  • Debugging English game content following own reviews or based on reported bugs.
Key Qualifications
  • Native user of the English language.
  • Experience in Polish to English translation or English writing/copyediting/editorial experience.
  • A university degree (completed or imminently pending) or significant coursework in Slavic Languages and Literature or Area Studies.
