Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Markets Process Specialist to join our team in Standard Chartered Life and Careers. As a key member of our Global Financial Markets business, you will be responsible for providing world-class trade support, business enablement and accurate and timely trade representation to meet obligations to clients, counterparties and regulators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective trade capture and life cycling processes for vanilla and structured products – FX, Rates, Credit, Repo and Treasury Markets.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve seamless follow the sun model and drive process consistency.
  • Manage query remediation, trade life-cycling and other day-to-day processing, ensuring timely escalation to minimize risk.
  • Be the subject matter expert for MIS, cost-per-trade, touch points per trade – drive their evolution and identify areas to proactively add value through improved data.
  • Work closely with onshore and other regions to close gaps and standardize processes, achieving global consistency.
  • Represent the operations team in external, internal and regulator scheduled audits, ensuring compliance and due diligence.
  • Identify booking model improvements and drive efficiency, working closely with First Office teams.
  • Build strong relationships with Onshore Middle-Office to facilitate efficient communications and speedy resolutions of any issues.
  • Develop and deliver hands-on training to close knowledge gaps within the Hubs, ensuring consistent skills across the organization.
  • Achieve regulatory compliance and future-proof the Middle Office model through a strong understanding of current rules and anticipation of upcoming regulations.
