Sabre, a leading technology company powering the global travel industry, seeks an exceptional Senior Cloud Software Developer (C++ or Java) to join their Inventory Team/Project. Reporting directly to Maciej Przybycien.

Job Overview

The product is a state-of-the-art Inventory Management and availability processing solution for airlines utilizing high-performance, scalable, and cloud-enabled open systems architecture. This cutting-edge system optimizes seat management while increasing revenues through enabling revenue optimizations, sophisticated rules engines, point-of-sale control, dynamic availability, and dynamic pricing.

Key statistics include over 7 billion transactions processed daily, peak volumes reaching 1000 updates per second, and 100K transactions per second with an average response time of 10 milliseconds. Additionally, the product supports over 20 interfaces with other products and offers web services.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and debug complex software solutions or enhancements to existing products.
  • Develop applications using routine and advanced technologies, designing and planning improvements.
  • Analyze situations or data requiring in-depth knowledge of application and system.
  • Encourage high coding standards, best practices, and quality.
  • Define work items, review code, and verify correctness of delivered tasks.
Requirements
  • Relevant years of related experience.
  • Experience in fast-paced Software Development in Agile environments.
  • Expertise in advanced C++ or Java programming and solutioning.
  • Excellent knowledge of C++ or Java development in Linux environments.
  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.
  • Knowledge of Boost and STL C++ Libraries or Java Collections.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
