Head of Accounting

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Group Accounting and Reporting: Oversee all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage Shared Services Center (SSC): Ensure high-quality and efficient accounting processes, aligning with company standards and regulations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with German accounting standards (HGB) and other relevant regulations, monitoring and managing financial controls to maintain the integrity of financial information.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with finance, tax, and legal departments to support business objectives and drive strategic growth.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a senior accounting and managerial role, focusing on group reporting and SSC processes.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing accounting teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
