About the Role

Sabre Hospitality Solutions is seeking an experienced Application Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the architecture and design of complex software systems, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and design of software systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable, secure, and reliable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new components and sub-systems.
  • Develop and maintain the long-term architectural strategy, focusing on reusable components and agile delivery processes.
  • Establish and maintain high-quality and reliable deliverables, ensuring they meet business needs.
  • Act as a technical and operational leader, driving innovation and excellence in software development.
  • Accountable for the design, ease of evolution, quality, performance, scaling, and availability of systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical training programs for engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Work with product management, business stakeholders, and engineering leaders to define mid-term and long-term roadmaps and shape business directions.
  • Diagnose system failures and problems in production, working with technical staff to identify root causes and address them.
  • Drive code and design reviews of components, ensuring they meet architectural governance standards.

Requirements

  • Advanced level of English, both verbal and written.
  • Expert knowledge of .NET framework (C# language) and/or Java.
  • Strong hands-on technology experience building and running large-scale, highly available systems handling high volumes of transactions.
  • Deep understanding of cloud architectures and GCP technology and deployment.
  • Deep exposure to Service-Oriented Architecture.
  • Deep understanding of network, queuing, and caching technologies.
  • Solid experience in large-scale RDBMS systems and NoSQL stores.
  • Knowledge of Document databases - Couchbase preferred.
  • Strong design/development experience in building large-scale distributed systems and products.
  • Expertise in multi-threading and performance-oriented programming.
  • A solid engineer at heart with excellent abstraction, coding, and system design skills and a deep passion and curiosity for technology.
  • Expert understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and best programming practices.
  • Good QA awareness (Unit Tests, TDD, Performance tests).
  • Proven leadership ability.
