Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer to join our core database team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Eliminate traditional infrastructure in favor of database services managed in the public cloud and/or those based on Kubernetes
  • Maintain existing database infrastructure to ensure smooth operation and high availability
  • Create and maintain tools to improve, optimize, and automate tasks in our infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) in the field of database administration
  • Familiarity with tools supporting the above technologies (PMM, percona-toolkit, pg_repack, pg_stats_statements, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of the GNU stack (bash, grep, awk, sed) and the Python language

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of database services in GCP (preferred) or Azure
