We are looking for a qualified Supply Chain Management Specialist to be at the forefront of shaping the future of energy supply chain operations in our Polish office.


This position will support the Factory SCM Manager in ensuring implementation and adherence to SCM strategies, processes and follow-up in the factory to ensure material availability, delivery performance and cost competitiveness.
Factory Supply Chain Specialist supports management of assigned spend with a short-term and medium-term sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership, quality, and reliability of supplies.
Collaborates with factory and HUB stakeholders to support the undertakings, project implementation.

The ideal candidate has a Master's degree in Logistics, Economics, Engineering or similar field and at least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement.
The role requires very good knowledge of contract management, Microsoft Office and knowledge of SAP S4HANA is highly beneficial.
The salary for this position is approximately PLN 70,000 - 100,000 per year, depending on experience.
Fluent in Polish and English, strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, team spirit and excellent communication skills, flexibility and ability to work independently are essential for this role.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Manage local allocated direct spend in accordance with instructions and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Category Managers to optimize cost, submit requests for quotation and drive cost savings project.
  • Identify new suppliers, qualify new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists.
  • Negotiate agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renew pricelists, terms, and conditions.
  • Support the material price and Terms & Conditions control throughout the value chain.
  • Support Factory SCM in material cost cutting and risk mitigation projects.
  • Measure gaps tender/actuals, investigate on root causes, and take adequate corrective/preventive measures.
  • Support tender material costing and running tender specific negotiations where applicable.
  • Support in liaison to Planning & Fulfillment team in the ERP data management under Supply Chain Management responsibility.
  • Support on analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Work on improving assigned supplier performance measurement and improvement tasks.
  • Support on assigned claim management to maximize compensation to Hitachi Energy and escalate as necessary.
  • Support on SCM related local activities for R&D, DTV, New Product Introduction, product cost improvement project.
