Job Title: Senior Blockchain Developer Smart Contract Engineer

At Golem Foundation, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Blockchain Developer Smart Contract Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying secure, production-ready smart contracts in Solidity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement smart contracts with a strong emphasis on security, simplicity, gas efficiency, and ease of use.
  • Participate in the design and development of the protocol and its future upgrades from concept through to deployment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest blockchain technologies and trends, and test and integrate new tools and frameworks as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of smart contracts with APIs and frontend components.
  • Implement and advocate for secure coding practices, and stay vigilant against the latest vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on developing and deploying secure, production-ready smart contracts in Solidity.
  • Proficient in Solidity, with strong knowledge of EVM, blockchain data structures, and Ethereum's consensus mechanism.
  • Strong understanding of on-chain and off-chain interactions, including API integration with smart contracts and backend systems.
  • Deep understanding of on-chain security best practices and experience implementing secure coding practices.
  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to find elegant solutions to complex challenges in the DeFi space.

Preferred Skills:

  • Blockchain expertise, including familiarity with running full nodes, testnets, and understanding of blockchain development cycles.
  • Experience with other programming languages like Rust, C++, or familiarity with scripting in UNIX-based OS.
  • Understanding of Agile project management and modern development practices, including the use of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and PIP.
