Calypso Application Specialist

  • Remuneration: Up to approximately PLN/H net + VAT (open to negotiation)
  • Start: ASAP (to be agreed)
  • Project duration: Long-term
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily production and pre-production operations in the Calypso application (application code CALY)
  • Respond to business requests via email, perform daily monitoring of CalMON system, and complete daily sanity checks on the Calypso application
  • Resolve technical issues with Calypso teams and external teams
  • Manage IT services
  • Act as part of the CI Calypso team, providing functional and technical expertise on Calypso from both Front Office and Back Office perspectives, managing requests, monitoring applications, managing incidents, managing problems, and ensuring continuous improvement of services
  • Monitor EOD workflow
  • Update and create documentation, participate in the change schedule, and attend daily meetings
  • Manage SLAs and KPIs, communicate with customers, and perform predictive analytics, consulting, managing escalation, analyzing risks, and executing projects
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in support activities
  • Knowledge of Calypso application (at least version V16 and V17) for 4+ years, with 2-3 years of experience in investment/trading banking operations
  • ITIL certification V3 or V4
  • Knowledge of major market regulatory bodies' rules is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge in Configuration Management
  • Strong knowledge in XML, SQL, PL/SQL, MQ Series, CFT, and Control-M
  • Knowledge of monitoring solutions (e.g., CalMon, Splunk)
  • Proactive initiative to identify savings and efficient gains
  • Careful observance of standards and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical or troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Autonomous, self-motivated, and excellent team player
  • Strong perseverance and diligence
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Financial knowledge and background
  • Ability to follow and scale the skill matrix
  • Open to conducting deployments on weekends and after work hours
  • Exposure to Capital Markets applications (Calypso – must have, different e.g., Murex...) is an advantage
  • Knowledge in Capital Market FO/BO environment is an advantage
