Danish Crown Group Procurement seeks a driven category manager to accelerate supply chain optimization and cultivate lasting partnerships with key suppliers through innovative SRM programs.

We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in category management and supplier relationship management to spearhead further supply chain improvements and develop close relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Leverage Your Expertise
You'll collaborate with colleagues responsible for sourcing various sub-categories within our Direct Materials category, covering food, ingredients, and packaging. This includes driving efficiency and optimization projects, managing suppliers, and agreements.

You'll use your analytical skills to develop category strategies and identify opportunities for supply chain enhancements within your area of responsibility.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies
  • Lead strategic procurement program execution
  • Maintain strong SRM programs with key suppliers
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners/suppliers through effective relationship management
  • Enhance ESG practices with major suppliers.

You'll engage with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders, requiring clear communication and engagement. Your category responsibilities cover our business units primarily located in Denmark, UK, Germany, Sweden, and Poland.

We Expect:

  • A strong skill set and proven track record in Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management, and Contract Management
  • Experience in complex data management and solid analytical skills
  • A deep understanding of business principles and strategic thinking
  • Familiarity with procurement models and proficiency in Power BI, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Effective English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Advantageous experience in food & ingredients categories or strategic packaging sourcing

A suitable candidate should hold a commercial education, MSc Merc, Trade diploma, or equivalent, along with 5-8 years of strategic Procurement experience and 5 years of SRM experience, ideally in roles like Category Manager, Sourcing Manager, Vendor Manager, or Supply Chain Consultant.
