Danish Crown Group Procurement plays a vital role in optimizing our supply chain. We strive to establish robust relationships with key suppliers and implement effective SRM programs to achieve this goal.

We seek a seasoned category manager to spearhead further supply chain improvements and foster collaborative relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Taking Ownership of Your Category
You'll collaborate with colleagues responsible for sourcing various sub-categories within our Direct Materials category, encompassing food, ingredients, and packaging. This includes managing suppliers and agreements while driving efficiency and optimization projects.

You'll leverage your analytical prowess to establish category strategies and identify opportunities for supply chain enhancements within your area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute category strategies
  • Lead strategic procurement program execution
  • Maintain strong SRM programs with key suppliers
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners/suppliers through effective relationship management
  • Enhance ESG practices with major suppliers.

Engaging with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders requires clear communication and engagement. Your category responsibilities cover our business units primarily based in Denmark, UK, Germany, Sweden, and Poland.

We Expect:

  • A strong skill set and proven track record in Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management, and Contract Management
  • Experience in complex data management and solid analytical skills
  • A deep understanding of business principles and strategic thinking
  • Familiarity with procurement models and proficiency in Power BI, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Effective English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Advantageous experience in food & ingredients categories or strategic packaging sourcing

A suitable candidate should hold a commercial education, MSc Merc, Trade diploma, or equivalent, along with 5-8 years of strategic Procurement experience and 5 years of SRM experience, ideally in roles like Category Manager, Sourcing Manager, Vendor Manager, or Supply Chain Consultant.
