Job Overview
The Staff Accountant is a vital part of the Global Business Services group at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. Reporting directly to the Lead Contract Accountant, this role involves preparing billing documentation in line with contractual terms and collaborating closely with project teams to ensure high-quality invoices are issued to customers.

Your Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with project managers and teams to generate accurate customer invoices in accordance with internal controls, contract terms, and customer expectations on supporting documentation.
• Set up and maintain accurate billing plans and milestones for scopes of work entered on sales orders in line with executed customer sales orders and project plans. Resolve any discrepancies or escalations with customers and project managers as needed.
• Prepare complex billing documentation according to contractual requirements, reconciling billing plans with ledgers and cumulative contractual information, and adhering to applicable escalation formulas.
• Ensure timely collections of receivables by investigating past due payments, duplicates, or unallocated cash, and maintaining explanations for aging receivables on weekly accounts receivable reports.
• Proactively verify that invoices are properly sent and received by customers, establishing positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Serve as a backup to other staff and contract accountants, participating in training new staff and ensuring job aids are current, while also performing ad-hoc duties to support Westinghouse's evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience in cash applications, billing, and collections.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English and Polish, with a strong proficiency in SAP financial reporting software preferred.
• Attention to detail, self-motivation, initiative to learn and improve operations, and effective communication skills.
