About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Development Engineer to join our Stores Fulfilment Technology Organisation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading large multi-platform technology modernisation initiatives across Tesco Group in UK, India and Central Europe.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong history of software engineering delivery in an Agile product-based environment and be able to set a vision for the design of a platform of APIs and Apps at scale.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the creation of the blueprint and delivery of our future Stores Fulfilment platform
  • Leading the transition from legacy platforms toward the delivery of new Android Colleague Apps, React.js based Portals, Kiosks, and Dashboards
  • Delivering robotic and automation systems all delivered using Tesco built Java APIs and supporting open-source tech stacks
